Welcome to Green Riyadh, a revolutionary project that is set to transform the capital city of Saudi Arabia into a green oasis. Not only will Green Riyadh improve the city's livability, but it will also help protect the environment and enhance the beauty of Riyadh.

Launched in 2019 by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Bin Abdulaziz, Green Riyadh aims to make Saudi Arabia’s capital one of the top 100 most livable cities in the world, improving access to green space, air quality, and the well-being of the city’s residents.

The project is planting trees in neighborhood gardens, parks, mosques, schools, universities, healthcare facilities, and along streets and roads. By 2030, 7.5 million trees will be growing throughout the city.

By creating green public spaces, improving air quality, decreasing power consumption, reducing temperatures, and enhancing the urban landscape of Riyadh, the project is helping residents live happier, healthier, and more sustainable lives. It is also expected to generate significant return on investment by 2030 through healthcare cost savings, increased real estate value, and the use of treated wastewater for irrigation.
